Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to service requests and emergency repairs within designated zones
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate inspection records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Provide excellent customer service to Memphis residents and businesses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, maintenance, or related field
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, dump trucks, etc.)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Must pass background check and drug screening
