Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and snow removal equipment
- Contribute to infrastructure projects including road resurfacing and drainage system improvements
- Respond to emergency weather conditions (snow, floods, etc.) with rapid deployment
- Conduct daily inspections of public assets to identify hazards and maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols while working in urban environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project execution
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
