Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy machinery (sweepers, mowers, trucks) with safety compliance
- Respond to emergency stormwater and drainage incidents
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for infrastructure projects
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal assets
- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling protocols
- Document maintenance activities in digital reporting systems
- Participate in community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with digital reporting tools (GIS experience preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
