Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Coordinate with contractors for specialized infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Assist with community events and beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Certification in hazardous materials handling preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
