Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and headcounts to maintain safety protocols
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with appropriate protocols
- Process inmate intake and release documentation with precision
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and healthcare professionals during critical situations
- Operate security systems including surveillance cameras and control panels
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Peace Officer Certification (OPOTA) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 21 years of age with US citizenship
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience in corrections, military, or security field preferred
- Ability to work rotating night shifts with flexible scheduling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and correctional software systems
