Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Process inmate intake and release procedures
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Operate security systems (e.g., control rooms, surveillance equipment)
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to handle emergency situations
