Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security rounds and surveillance of facility premises
- Respond to emergencies and incidents according to protocol
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and control access points during night operations
- Collaborate with day-shift staff during transition periods
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass Kentucky Corrections Officer Certification
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Physical ability to perform security duties including restraint techniques
- Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays
