Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular facility inspections and headcounts to ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document daily operations and incident reports accurately
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless transition of operations
- Enforce institutional rules and regulations consistently
- Participate in mandatory training programs to maintain certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to meet job demands (sitting, standing, walking)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
