Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during night shift hours
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate protocols
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with day shift officers for seamless operations
- Participate in mandatory training and professional development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in law enforcement or corrections preferred
- Must be U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old
