Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmates in a secure facility during night shift hours
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure safety and security
- Respond to emergencies and incidents in a calm and professional manner
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of all activities and incidents
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain order
- Assist in transporting inmates as required
- Collaborate with other law enforcement and correctional staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Completion of a certified corrections officer training program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods
