Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor federal servers, firewalls, and network devices for anomalies and performance issues during the night shift.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting government systems with minimal supervision.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal security protocols (NIST, FedRAMP) during all maintenance windows.
- Incident Response: Execute incident response plans for critical outages and coordinate with day-shift teams for resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all incidents, changes, and system configurations.
- Backup Execution: Perform automated and manual backups of critical federal data repositories.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, CISCO networking equipment, and VPN technologies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent military technical training.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM or 11 PM - 7 AM).
