Join the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works as a Night Shift Government Compliance Officer. Responsibilities
- Monitor and document compliance with municipal codes, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations during overnight operations
- Conduct regular inspections of critical infrastructure facilities (water treatment plants, power substations, transport hubs)
- Coordinate with emergency response teams for nighttime incident documentation and regulatory reporting
- Maintain detailed compliance logs and generate nightly audit reports for regulatory agencies
- Implement and update safety protocols for overnight maintenance crews and contractors
- Liaise with state and federal regulatory bodies for nighttime compliance documentation
- Train security personnel on regulatory enforcement procedures for overnight operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government compliance or regulatory enforcement
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- OSHA 30-Hour certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting software (e.g., EnviroTrac, Compliance Manager)
- Strong knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Title 24 regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
