Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned government facilities during overnight hours
- Respond to security breaches, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate activity logs
- Conduct access control for employees, visitors, and vehicles
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical situations
- Enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures for staff and public
- Operate security equipment including alarms, cameras, and communication devices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Illinois Security Officer License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays consistently
- Strong observational skills and emergency response training
- Proficient in surveillance technology and report writing
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
