Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emergency communications during night shift hours
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and public works teams for incident management
- Maintain accurate documentation of nightly operations and incident reports
- Conduct routine patrols and security checks of city facilities
- Provide after-hours customer service support for city services
- Operate specialized government systems and communication tools
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in government or security operations
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and government reporting systems
- CPR and first certification preferred
