Responsibilities
- Monitor city infrastructure systems during overnight hours to ensure operational continuity
- Respond to emergency dispatches and coordinate with law enforcement/fire departments
- Perform routine safety inspections across municipal facilities
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift logs for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless day-to-night transition
- Implement emergency protocols during critical situations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of night shift procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in government or public sector roles
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Certification in emergency management or public safety (highly desirable)
