Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet systems during the night shift.
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to prevent system downtime.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and emergency incidents with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Conduct security audits and access control verification to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance logs in the central database.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a significant plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively during night shift hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
