We are looking for a proactive problem-solver to manage technical support requests, troubleshoot network issues, and maintain IT security protocols during the night shift. If you have a background in IT and are available for evening/night shifts, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- 24/7 Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, servers, and workstations to ensure minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
- Troubleshooting Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for internal staff and stakeholders.
- Security Maintenance: Apply security patches, manage firewalls, and conduct nightly audits to protect sensitive state data.
- Incident Management: Log and track IT incidents in the helpdesk system, escalating complex issues to day-shift supervisors.
- User Assistance: Provide technical guidance and training to staff regarding software applications and office equipment.
- Asset Management: Assist in the inventory and tracking of IT equipment within the assigned district.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 4 PM to 12 AM or 10 PM to 6 AM).
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
