We are seeking a highly motivated Night Shift IT Support Specialist to join the Department of Administration. Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor server health, network performance, and database integrity during the night shift to ensure zero downtime for critical state applications.
- Ticket Resolution: Prioritize and resolve IT help desk tickets and technical issues submitted by state employees, escalating complex problems when necessary.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security protocols, perform regular system backups, and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- User Support: Provide technical guidance and support for hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure a secure and efficient working environment.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents that may arise during off-hours.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk operations, or system administration.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the department.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL databases, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II background check and government security clearance.
