The Role
As a Night Shift IT Systems Analyst, you will be the first line of defense for our IT infrastructure. Your role is crucial in maintaining the continuity of services for our citizens, ensuring that technical issues are resolved efficiently without disrupting daily government operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage server infrastructure and network systems during the night shift.
- Resolve complex technical incidents and service tickets with high priority.
- Perform routine system backups, patches, and security updates to prevent breaches.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state data security regulations.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to document issues and solutions for knowledge base management.
- Maintain uptime for critical government applications and databases.
- Escalate potential security threats to senior management immediately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to work independently in a low-light, night-shift environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance eligibility.
