Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) to deter crime and respond to incidents
- Monitor security systems, surveillance cameras, and access points for municipal facilities
- Document and report suspicious activities, hazards, and maintenance needs
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire) during critical incidents
- Conduct safety inspections of parks, buildings, and infrastructure
- Maintain detailed activity logs and digital reports using city systems
- Provide visible security presence at public events during extended hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Minimum 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or military
- Strong communication skills and de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
