Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city areas during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond to emergency calls, conduct investigations, and document incidents with precision
- Collaborate with city agencies and community leaders to develop targeted safety initiatives
- Maintain detailed logs of activities and submit comprehensive shift reports
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Provide assistance to citizens during critical situations and emergency events
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain advanced certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 2 years of law enforcement or public safety experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and community interaction
- Proficiency in emergency response protocols and crisis management
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as required
