Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned municipal facilities during overnight shifts
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel
- Document security incidents and submit detailed daily activity reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical situations
- Conduct routine safety inspections of buildings and perimeter areas
- Operate security equipment including CCTV, alarms, and communication devices
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors during off-hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Kansas Security Guard License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security technology systems
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
