Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure municipal facilities during overnight hours using advanced surveillance systems
- Conduct regular patrols to detect and prevent security breaches or suspicious activities
- Respond promptly to emergency situations including medical incidents and security threats
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security documentation with precision
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for all personnel
- Operate emergency response equipment including fire suppression systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Illinois Security Officer License (PERC) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in high-pressure scenarios
- Proficient in using surveillance technology and reporting software
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Clean background check and drug-free certification required
