Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated municipal facilities during overnight hours
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for personnel and visitors
- Respond promptly to security alerts, medical emergencies, and potential threats
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Conduct regular equipment checks and security system maintenance
- Implement emergency evacuation protocols during crisis scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Tennessee Security Guard License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in surveillance systems and security software
- Must pass background check and drug screening
