Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated government facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Respond to security alerts, emergencies, and incident reports with immediate, professional action
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel entering secured areas
- Document all security activities, incidents, and observations using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during critical situations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with government security standards
- Maintain communication protocols with day-shift teams for seamless operational handover
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; security certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional security experience in government or regulated environments
- Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Proficient in surveillance technology, access control systems, and incident reporting software
- Strong conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques certification
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and holidays as required
