Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned government facilities during overnight hours
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations with appropriate protocols
- Conduct regular building inspections to ensure access control and safety compliance
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation using government systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Operate security equipment including CCTV, access control systems, and communication devices
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding government operations and sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; security certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional security or law enforcement experience
- Valid DC government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong observational skills and crisis response abilities
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must pass background check and drug screening
