Responsibilities
- Monitor patient activities and behavior overnight to ensure safety and security
- Assist patients with daily living activities including meals, hygiene, and recreation
- Document patient observations and incidents accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with treatment teams to implement and adjust care plans
- Respond to emergency situations and de-escalate conflicts using therapeutic techniques
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses
- Maintain facility security protocols during overnight shift
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in behavioral science preferred
- 1+ years of experience in mental health or healthcare setting
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks
