Responsibilities
- Perform general office duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, and shredding documents.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel or take detailed messages.
- Assist visitors with basic information and route them to the correct department or representative.
- Enter data into computer systems with a high degree of accuracy and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Prepare routine correspondence, memos, and reports as assigned by supervisors.
- Operate office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and multi-line telephone systems.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for most Federal employment positions.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate is required.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a favorable background clearance.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
- Reliability and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
