Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping, mowing, weeding, and watering of park grounds and athletic fields.
- Maintain and repair playground equipment, park benches, and walking trails to ensure safety.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Ensure cleanliness of park restrooms, pavilions, and recreational facilities.
- Monitor park areas for vandalism, safety hazards, and illegal activities; report issues to supervisors.
- Operate light landscaping and maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Interact positively with the public, providing information and assistance to visitors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License (may be required for field work).
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and park maintenance practices.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible work schedules.
