Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities through daily cleaning, landscaping, and equipment upkeep
- Operate and inspect playground equipment, sports courts, and trail systems for safety compliance
- Assist with special event setup and teardown for community festivals and sports tournaments
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries with professionalism
- Monitor facility usage and report maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors
- Support seasonal park beautification projects including planting, irrigation checks, and debris removal
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient park operations and resource allocation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments (lifting, bending, walking)
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Pass background check and drug screening as per city policy
