Responsibilities
- Maintenance: Perform routine landscaping and groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, raking, and weed control.
- Facility Care: Inspect, clean, and maintain park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Event Support: Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor park usage to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations; identify and report hazards.
- Sanitation: Collect and empty trash receptacles and ensure public areas remain litter-free.
- Equipment Operation: Operate light motorized equipment and hand tools as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor including walking, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Driving: Must possess a valid Florida Class E Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
