Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including turf management, landscape upkeep, and irrigation systems
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, trimmers) safely and efficiently
- Organize and execute recreational programs for diverse community groups
- Inspect facilities for safety hazards and perform minor repairs
- Coordinate volunteer initiatives and community engagement projects
- Manage event logistics including setup, staffing, and post-event cleanup
- Enforce park regulations while providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate landscaping/maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and turf management
- Flexibility for evening/weekend work during peak seasons
