Responsibilities
- Maintain and landscape park grounds, including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting flowers and shrubs.
- Perform routine maintenance on park facilities, including cleaning restrooms, repairing playground equipment, and maintaining walking trails.
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Monitor park facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to city ordinances.
- Assist with special events, recreational programs, and community gatherings as needed.
- Inspect and report on any hazards, broken equipment, or maintenance needs within the park system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and a good driving record are preferred.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping principles, tools, and equipment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory and time management.
