As a Parks and Recreation Worker, you will work closely with our facilities and grounds maintenance teams to keep our parks, trails, and recreational facilities in pristine condition. Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing grass and shrubs.
- Inspect and maintain park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of recreational events and community programs.
- Maintain and repair park structures, fences, and signage as needed.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing information about park amenities.
- Operate heavy and light motorized equipment, such as tractors, mowers, and dump trucks, safely.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or facility maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
