As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for Atlanta residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, playgrounds, trails, and recreational facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Operate heavy landscaping equipment, mowers, and power tools (all equipment provided).
- Perform routine facility maintenance, including painting, minor repairs, and trash removal.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a secure environment for all visitors.
- Monitor park areas for safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and horticulture practices is preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
