Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of parks, trails, and recreational facilities by performing routine groundskeeping, trash removal, and landscaping duties.
- Operate and maintain light machinery and power tools, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup, coordination, and cleanup of special events, festivals, and community programs held within City parks.
- Monitor park areas to ensure public safety, report maintenance issues, and enforce park rules and regulations.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, providing information and assistance to visitors and residents.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as planting, irrigation, and tree care to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the community.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
