Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and beautifying public parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to ensure a pristine environment for citizens.
  • Performing general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, planting, and watering vegetation.
  • Inspecting and repairing playground equipment, fencing, and other park infrastructure to ensure safety compliance.
  • Assisting with the set-up and breakdown of recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events.
  • Operating and maintaining landscaping machinery, such as mowers, trimmers, and tractors, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all city policies and regulations.
