Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, athletic fields, and public facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for citizens.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, raking, and planting.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance issues and report them immediately.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping and maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, tractors, and tools.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid Class C Florida Driver's License is required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for logging work orders or attendance.
