Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for parks, playgrounds, athletic facilities, and right-of-way areas including mowing, edging, trimming, raking, and weeding.
- Perform routine maintenance on park facilities, restrooms, and equipment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational programs, events, and sports leagues.
- Sweep, remove litter, and empty trash receptacles in parks and public areas.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping and maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing information.
- Report safety hazards and maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
