Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, raking, weeding, and planting seasonal flowers and trees.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of recreational equipment for sports leagues, community events, and festivals.
- Operate light landscaping and maintenance machinery (training provided upon hiring).
- Interact positively with the public, answering questions and providing excellent customer service to park visitors.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with city rules and safety protocols.
- Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading skills are required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site is necessary.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (or be able to obtain one).
