Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities including mowing, irrigation, and equipment operation
- Inspect and repair playground equipment, benches, and amenities to ensure safety and compliance
- Assist in special event setup and breakdown for community festivals and activities
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Implement seasonal landscaping projects including planting, pruning, and pest control
- Operate and maintain park vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members on facility improvement projects and operational initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant vocational training preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or recreation facility operations
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, operate power tools, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service excellence
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
