Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and planting under the guidance of senior staff.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance needs and report them promptly.
- Interact positively with the public, answering questions and providing directions to park amenities.
- Operate and maintain basic park equipment and vehicles, including mowers and trimmers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in parks and recreation, landscaping, or customer service is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to public service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
