Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging of grass, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including benches, fences, and playground equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Assist in the planting and care of flowers, shrubs, and trees to ensure a vibrant, seasonal landscape.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards, debris, and vandalism; report and address issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members on large-scale municipal projects and seasonal clean-up campaigns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or municipal maintenance.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and power tool operation.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety protocols.
