Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems for departmental records.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors and answer high-volume phone inquiries regarding program eligibility and services.
- Data Entry: Process applications and update databases with precision, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Communication: Draft and distribute memos, letters, and correspondence under the direction of supervisors.
- Meeting Support: Schedule appointments, prepare meeting agendas, and take minutes for departmental staff meetings.
- Inventory: Monitor office supplies and requisition materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of clerical or administrative experience in a public sector or customer service environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Attributes: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
