Responsibilities
- Process and maintain official municipal records, permits, and documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and city departments via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Assist with data entry, filing systems management, and document archiving using proprietary municipal software
- Coordinate with multiple city departments to ensure accurate information flow and compliance with regulations
- Support public-facing services including permit applications, license renewals, and information requests
- Prepare routine reports and correspondence under supervision of senior administrative staff
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance municipal knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in public administration preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in clerical, administrative, or customer service roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database systems
