Responsibilities
- Develop and execute neighborhood-specific outreach strategies to connect residents with city programs
- Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and informational sessions
- Collect and document resident feedback through surveys, focus groups, and direct engagement
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to align outreach goals with city initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and program participation metrics
- Create multilingual informational materials (English/Spanish) for diverse populations
- Represent the city at community meetings, festivals, and public forums
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration, Communications, or related field
- 1+ years experience in community outreach, customer service, or public relations
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual proficiency (Spanish strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data collection tools
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for events
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
