Responsibilities
- Develop and implement neighborhood outreach strategies to promote city programs
- Organize community meetings and events across Oakland's districts
- Collect resident feedback and document service needs using CRM systems
- Collaborate with city departments to coordinate service delivery
- Prepare bilingual (English/Spanish) informational materials and presentations
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and service requests
- Participate in citywide initiatives including sustainability and public safety campaigns
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Communications, Public Administration, or related field
- 1+ years experience in community outreach or public engagement
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Pass background check and fingerprinting per city requirements
