Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person outreach at community centers, libraries, and local events
- Facilitate informational workshops on state-funded programs (housing, energy assistance, etc.)
- Develop multilingual educational materials in English and Spanish
- Maintain accurate participant records and program databases
- Collaborate with partner organizations to coordinate outreach initiatives
- Prepare weekly progress reports and performance metrics
- Support grant application processes for community projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related field
- 1+ years of community outreach or customer service experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Valid New York State driver's license (for occasional field visits)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency
- Basic knowledge of NYC neighborhood demographics
