Responsibilities
- Manage and distribute incoming federal correspondence, mail, and internal communications with strict confidentiality.
- Perform data entry and document management using federal record-keeping systems.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, meeting agendas, and briefing materials.
- Answer and route telephone inquiries, directing calls to appropriate federal staff members.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule appointments for federal supervisors.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure the workspace meets federal cleanliness and safety standards.
- Support the processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests under supervision.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Required for federal employment.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and security clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience in a professional or government setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal office software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced federal environment.
