Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic/digital filing systems and document databases
- Process veteran benefit applications and correspondence with strict compliance protocols
- Coordinate scheduling for medical appointments and veteran support services
- Assist in preparing reports and statistical data for federal compliance requirements
- Provide frontline customer service to veterans and their families via phone/in-person
- Support procurement processes and inventory management for departmental supplies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (per federal regulations)
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative support experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with federal documentation systems (e.g., VISTA, VAMC) preferred
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and security clearance
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality handling sensitive veteran data
- Excellent written communication skills for official correspondence
